Birmingham Road - Traffic Management Consultation

Warwickshire County Council are carrying out consultation with residents of Stoneleigh and Ashow to identify a preferred option for traffic management in Stoneleigh. The consultation will run between 1st October 2018 and the 9th November 2018 and all residents should have received written notification, along with voting slips which must be returned to WCC by November 9th. You can also respond to the consultation online at  Warwickshire County Council Citizen Space website and then searching for 'Birmingham Road Stoneleigh'. A drop-in event has also been scheduled for October 10th, 3pm to 8pm, at Stoneleigh Village Hall.

A46 Link Road / Stoneleigh Junction Improvements and Other Works

Warwickshire County Council (“the Council”) hereby give notice that it has made, and submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, an Order under Sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to:-

(a) improve highways (including raising, lowering or otherwise altering),

(b) stop up highways,

(c) construct new highways,

(d) stop up private means of access to premises,

(e) provide new means of access to the said premises

all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as the junction of the A46 and Stoneleigh Road at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire which the Council are proposing to construct.

A copy of the order and of the accompanying plans may be inspected at www.warwickshire.gov.uk and free of charge at all reasonable hours from 20 th July 2018 at the offices of the acquiring authority at Shire Hall, Warwick, CV34 4RL, and at Kenilworth Library and One Stop Shop, Smalley Place, Kenilworth, CV8 1QG.

Any person may not later than 5 th September 2018 object to the confirmation of the order by notice to the Secretary of State for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR stating the grounds of their objection.

In submitting an objection it should be noted that your personal data and correspondence will be passed to the Council to enable your objection to be considered. If you do not wish your personal data to be forwarded, please state your reasons when submitting your objection and the Secretary of State will copy your representations, with your name and address removed to the Council, and if there is to be a Public Local Inquiry they will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.
