The Standards Board for England was established in 2001 to promote the ethical behaviour of councillors and other members who serve on a range of authorities.

It investigates allegations that members may have breached the Code of Conduct that applies to councillors.

The Local Authorities Model Code of Conduct  is a statutory requirement and provides legal guidelines for fulfilling a role in public office.

Stoneleigh and Ashow Parish Council is compliant with this code.
